Remove image metadata

Take the location and camera details out of a photo before you share it. When the picture is already upright, it is not recompressed.

A shared photo can include the place it was taken, stored beside the pixels. This page removes that location and the camera details. If the photo is already upright, the pixels are not compressed a second time, so a JPEG does not pick up another round of quality loss.

Your files stay on your device. All processing happens locally in your browser. We never upload, store, or view your images.

What this page does

Location, camera model, and the other details stored beside the picture are removed on this device. The image itself stays.

Why remove them

Someone who receives the file can read a stored location even though it is not visible in the picture. This page takes that out before you share it.

The place is beside the pixels, not in them.

An upright photo is not compressed again, so a JPEG does not pick up another round of quality loss. Faces and signs in the picture stay visible.

What this does not do

It does not blur faces or hide anything you can see.

If the camera marked the photo as rotated, Glazlo turns the pixels upright and saves a new file so it does not appear sideways.

Compress leaves a file alone when a new copy would not be smaller, and that copy can still contain a location. Use this page to remove it.

How to use it

  2. 2Glazlo removes location and camera details on this device.

What about a photo that is already small?

Compress leaves a file alone when a new copy would not be smaller, and that copy can still contain a location. This page removes that location.
